Perleo - Candle on the Water

 
Leo walked close to the Cabins, mentally amping himself up to talk to Percy. Although he had been back for a while and had visited both camps to see his friends, he hadn't talked everyone yet. As Leo was getting closer to the Half Blood cabins he heard shouting, and it was getting louder with every step he took. Leo was soon noticing that alot of the other campers were either watching from their cabin windows or the deck. Some were even scattered around Hestia's fire. Then Leo saw them, Annabeth and Percy, it looked as if they were fighting. Then Annabeth shouted something and Percy ran off. 

Two weeks later

Leo had been bringing plates to the dock every day since the fight, so today was no different. After setting the plate down (which had two slices of pizza and a couple of ambrosia squares on it) he sat on the dock, waiting. After ten minutes went by, someone popped out of the water. After he pulled himself onto the dock, Percy look up to see Leo. "Hey Percy." Percy smiled as he sat down and grabbed one of the slices of pizza. "Hey Leo, longed time no see." He said with a mouthful of pizza. They sat in silence as Percy ate his meal, as he finished off the last ambrosia square, Leo moved himself to the docks edge. "So," Leo started saying, "do you want to talk about it?"

Percy exhaled, "It was little things, ya know. And they kept building up and up. Finally one little disagreement and she ends it. I'm mean we're both to blame, but I thought it could be worked out. And the worst of it, she thinks I was going behind her back... that I fell in love with someone else. Well, she wasn't wrong, I did fall in love with someone else, but I didn't go behind her back."

Leo sat there listening and taking everything Percy said in, not once speaking up. But he was ready to speak his mind.  He stares out at the lake as he started to speak.

"Percy, I'm sorry that happened to you. I know how it feels; before Calypso and I came back home,  we traveled .... a lot. And we were happy, but something kept coming back to my thoughts.... and I think Calypso knew as well. And at some point she had to let me go. It took some time to realize what she had known. But there's one thing you should know Percy..."
